nsa-fpsr (force play slide rule).
Please help. Can't find the rule in the nsa book for this.
Situation:
Men's 12" slow pitch.
R1 on first, ground ball to SS, flips to second, but R1 takes out second basemen with a slide, but it's way to the outfield side of second base.
What, if any, are the restrictions on the sliding runner?

RULE 1 DEFINITIONS: SECTION 32 INTERFERENCE
Interference is the act of an offensive player or team member, which impedes or confuses a defensive player while attempting to execute a play. If judged so by the umpire, vocal interference may be called.

RULE 8 BASERUNNING
SECTION 8 s
The baserunner is out: s) When a runner, after being declared out or after scoring, interferes with a defensive player’s opportunity to make a play on another runner. The runner closest to home plate at the time of the interference shall also be called out.
EFFECT: Rule 8, Sec. 8(k – s) The ball is dead and the baserunner is out. Other runners must return to the last base legally touched at the time of the illegal action.

The only rule sets I'm aware of that has FSPR is FED and NCAA Baseball. I don't know of any other baseball or softball organizations that have such a rule. It appears it doesn't exist in NSA.

For those organizations that don't have FSPR, a runner may slide into the pivotperson on the double play if he/she executes a legal slide (e.g., no rolling block or raised foot) and can still reach the base.
