Dropped Third strike, steal home.

2 outs, runner on Third dropped third strike. Runner from third takes touches home before the the play is made at first. I ruled the run scored as it was a steal of home, and unrelated to the dropped third strike.

The defensive coaches position was that the 3rd out was on a force to first and no run can score.

What do you guys have?

No run can be scored when the BR fails to reach first safely on the 3rd out of the inning, no runs can score.

No run scores. If we knew the rule set, we could give you that.

But, really, this one you should know.

Batter/runner in essence is forced to first. A put out there being the 3rd out, no runs can score. That's my call and I'm sticking with it.

It's almost like I'm studying to be one of the fake journalist that you see asking people the same question after it has been answered two or three times.... or even twice.
