I'll second the opinions of others that say 4 or 5 should be the most in a day.
I work with some guys that would do 12 in a day if we let them, and those later games are not near the quality they should be to provide the teams with a reasonably good level of service. Course some guys are just as bad game 1 as game 6, but that's a different matter. I've let my assignor know that my max is 5 a day and I'd prefer 4, especially if he wants me to do the last game or couple games of a tournament. I'd like a chance to rest up before doing an "if" game or championship game. We often times start on a Friday night and a few fields have lights so we can play 2 that first evening for teams that are close by. I also like the 2 on, 1 off schedule that was mentioned. It's nice to be able to get my feet off the ground for a bit. Gravity pulls a lot harder later in the day!
