The same batter getting hit twice is one of those quirky and cool things will make for a good "war story" down the road. And from what I know of mbcrowder (through his posts) I'm willing to bet he knows the rules about ejecting fans- which leads me to believe that "team mom" was dugout personel.

But I'm still wondering why you called time when "the pitcher threw her last (warm-up?) pitch". Was the ball live?

To answer the questions, yes - Team Mom was dugout personnel, normally used to help dress catchers and make sure the on deck and in the hole batters know to be ready. I'm not ejecting a fan - ever. Fans belong to whoever is in charge of the fields.

I called time because it was ABOUT to become live and no one else noticed we were missing a player. Perhaps the wrong word as technically you are right, the ball wasn't live yet.

Appreciated a 14&U shortstop this weekend for an intelligent conversation about INT when she thought she was hindered and I did not. She did have to throw over a runner to 1st, and we also discussed INT difference on a throw vs. batted ball. No arguing, just conversation, best of all no interrupt from a coach.
Later on, she said "good call" after a missed tag play by F4.
