Would NFHS be different?
For ASA, rule change this year. As you describe, this is a two-base award.

Rule 8 Section 5 I: When a fair batted ball deflects off a fence then off the fielder before going over the home run fence. Effect: The ball is dead. All runners and or batter-runner are awarded two bases from the time of the pitch.

Never really understood the need for this change. You can stand on a fence, you cannot catch the ball off the fence for an out, why would anyone think a ball that hits the fence is still a ball in flight?
