Uncaught third strike question
Hypothetical question:
NSA rule set Batter has 2 strikes and the next pitch is a wild pitch, can she swing and try to advance first base (as long as first base is not occupied with fewer than 2 outs)? I’m pretty sure she can… |

If the ball is already way past the batter, it's not an attempt to hit the ball. That means it's not a strike.

Just be sure that if you are not going to call this a strike on strike 3, that you would also not call it a strike on strike 1. Good luck explaining that to the DC unless it is already bouncing off the backstop.
