Training Material

Anyone have any power point presentations or other material regarding umpire training. I have the line-up card management from Cactus Umpire. Would like something for OBS, INT, or anything that would be useful.

No, but if you create any, be sure to share.

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

I have a PPT that I created for Obstruction and Interference. It is about 80 slides with some pictures and videos...pretty detailed...designed mainly for experienced umpires to get them thinking beyond the black and white of the rule and really understanding it and calling it effectively.

Send me your email in a private message..I will be happy to forward it to you.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to post that, would you? I've been working on a website that is primarily for ASA SP umpires, and it's possible that some SP games may be played with a 3-ump crew. That kind of a resource would be wonderful. As always, I give credit where credit's due.

No disrespect here...

...but you should be obtaining official ASA training material (PPT's in particular) from your regional and territorial UIC. Shoot them an email and I'm sure they'll share it with you.

I know ours does.

Probably one of the reasons we're the best trained umpires in the country...
