I've always used a casual, nonchalant heave-ho ... anything else is a waste of energy

Never let a coach or player affect you in such a way that you have obviously fed off their anger. A simple toss, then walk away, and hope your partner is there to escort the coach/player out.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I have actually had an ejection where there was no signal at all. I simply have walked over to the assistant coach and told them that there were now the head coach and their first duty is to make sure the previous head coach was out of sight and sound in a timely manner.
