Question Hmmm.... [interference question]

Fed game; R1 on second; right handed batter; I'm in "C".

R1 breaks from bag on pitch a couple times and returns.
Then, R1 again breaks (with intent?) [she went 3 strides farther] to go to 3B.

R1 was looking in, watching F2, as F2 threw to F6.
R1 didn't see as F6 move (in two or three steps, and to F6's left a step to field the throw just inside the baseline) until she located the throw and was going full stride as the ball reached F6.

The ball hit F6's glove as R1's lead foot hit F6's trailing foot.

Ball popped outa F6's glove with both players momentarily in the dirt. F6 did not get to ball (three feet behind her) and R1 slid to 3B.

I no called it, [no intent], but I wondered. I knew the fielder was protected on a batted ball, but I was not sure of the thrown ball.

One fan had interference. No coach verbalized concern.

I had nothing; partner had nothing.

Please help.
Thanks.

This is not interference unless there is intent by the runner (NFHS). It may have been obstruction.

Did F6 have the ball when contact was made? If not, I got OBS.

I'm glad for that.
Thanks, Tom.

Nope! The ball getting there and the tangle-feet were nearly simultaneous.
Thanks.
