c) something else, specifically a fielder who did not have possession of the ball lost it out of play. The award is one base from the last base at the time the ball went out of play. So, where the runners ended up would depend on where they were when the ball went out of play, in your case R1 is awarded home and BR is awarded 2B. ASA 8-5-G EXCEPTION-1
