I started officiating in Michigan - in basketball you take the part I mail it in and your check and *PRESTO* - you are an official! You actually have to go through a rookie school in WV and attend a rules clinic every year.

Rented a cottage in Charlevoix for family vaca back in 98-99. Absolutley a beautiful place.

In fact, do you remember the fireworks accident during the boat parade? That was the week we were there. What was the name of the event?

That was the Venetian Festival. The lawsuits from that accident were recently settled I believe
