I worked some "Modified Fast Pitch" tournaments and found it to be the best of both worlds-- action like bunts and base stealing-- combined with
hitting and the fact that a pitcher cannot really dominate like in regular
FP.
Slow-Pitch can be fun at the tournament level, but I found it to be not
only boring, but a pain in the butt at the local eague level. All too many
of their players never played even high school baseball and they go and
get an expensive bat and glove, etc. and think they are pro players.
I did a lot of it when I neede extra $$ back when I was taking care of a family of 4 and a wife.
I walked away from it all and now only do girls high school FP, which is
a lot of fun !
