Actually, that is the problem: not everyone does. ASA does use the "informal" title for things a few places in their rule book (e.g. ground rule double, dropped third strike). That settles it.
If it causes just one coach to say to me "but my catcher caught it on the first bounce" .. I say leave it.
I've never heard that before but that cracks me up.
