Can't the umpires make up their minds? Tonight in the championship game (USA vs Japan), the umpires were wearing ASA uniforms.

They were all ASA umpires, so they wore the ASA uniform.

Julie Johnson was the UIC, so she sets the uniforms.

Yes, but not hosted by ISF. ISF isn't exactly generous with their shirts. Not every ISF umpire receives them when certified even if they work a World Cup.

When all of the umpires were ASA they wore ASA shirts. When one of the umpires was not ASA they wore the ISF shirts. Mr Lee. Was not ASA so therefore he could not wear an ASA shirt. All umpires were ISF so therfore they had to wear ISF shirts whenever Mr Lee was on the diamond. Marketing was not considered

Though this cannot explain WHY shouldn't they weare ISF uniforms for EVERY and each game, 'cause: "All umpires were ISF..."

Just wondering... my intention is NOT questioning, believe me.
I was lucky enough to work many ISF tournaments.
In Europe every nation has its own umpires uniform and the 'common' one is ESF uniform (navy blue pants + powder blue polo shirt with ESF logo on a sleeve + navy blue cap with ESF logo on it).
Al this said, at ISF tournaments played in Europe umpires are requested to wear ISF uniforms...

I still say it was marketing (ASA worn when possible).

Obviously, I have no facts or other information, so perhaps it is better to say I sure hope it was marketing! Smart move, if it was.

Maybe I am wrong... but sometimes things are more simpler than one may think.
When you umpire an ISF Tournament for the first time, the official sponsor for umpire's uniforms gives shirts, hats, belt, pants, etc.
Sometimes you receive additional items (e.g. socks, ballbag, shoes!!) and it depends from the level of the tournament.
Maybe the sponsor didn't supply enough material (or maybe things didn't fit the right way - it happens really often!) and umpires where 'forced' to use ASA uniform (I like them, by the way).
