Predictation Comes True

My wife had always said if something happened to her that I would be away calling softball.

Well, Sat. morning while I was on the field in Huntsville, 125 miles from home, she suffered a heart attack. Naturally I did not have my phone with me on the field. When the second of two games was over, I went to the locker room to change and noted that I had several calls on my phone.

First one I received was the news that wife had been air-vaced to Beaumont suffering from a heart attack. I just hit the road and told the guy with me to get my stuff. Before I reached the hospital, I received another call saying she had surgery, (balloon) repair was made and blood clot cleared.

Everything went well, she is recovering nicely. Even joked about the fact that I Was Indeed On A Softball Field, when something happened.

Brenda, tcannizzo, and msrock 1954.

Brenda, sorry to hear about your father.

Thank you for your prayers and good wishes.

She is doing very well now. On Monday they will do some testing and if everything looks good, which doctors say should, then she will be released on
Tuesday.

This has been a tough six months following hurrican Rita. Lost my house, had my heart attack, my wife lost her brother to a heart attack, and her older sister had a quad by-pass just two weeks ago.

We will survive it all though. I know there are others with worse problems.

Again, Thanks.

glen and family.

Glen,
That's a rough 6 months or so. Has it really only been 6 months or so? I've been away for a few days or I'd have posted sooner. I'm glad to see that things are looking better now. Here's hope that she is released on Tuesday and that her (and your's) recovery continues to go well.

Glen,

Thoughts and prayers also from the Logan household.

I know you have had a few troubles over the past months. To me (and probably most) they seem insurmountable, but you and your family appear to have handled them better than I feel I ever could!

You and your family have been an inspiration to us, and will continue to be!

Best wishes to all from Buddy and Polly. If we can help in any way, please let us know.

Good to hear everything went well. 10 Yrs ago, I had angina, the chest pain. Went to the Dr. had quintuplet by-pass with no heart damage. No problems since. So guys, do not ignore a pain in the chest or numbness. You ladies, watch out. Symptoms are different. Also had a stroke 30 yrs ago. Made a full recovery.

Buddy and Polly.

Thanks. Your notes here and letter earlier (after my heart attack)) were a big help.

The umpire community has been great.

Joe, Thanks.

You are right, do not ignore check pains. My wife thought she had indigestion at first and was taking rolaids. Then left arm and hand
were numming and she was sweating heavily, so drove herself the two
blocks to the hospital. Fifteen minutes later, she was in the helicopter.

Glad you survived your ordeals.

Again, Thanks
