True Sport

If you wanted to see a True Competition w/o unsportsmanlike coaches and clueless commentators I hope you all saw Lorena Ochoa, Michelle Wie, Natalie Gulbis and Karrie Webb go at eachother at the Nabisco.

When you need an Eagle on the 18th and hole it from 130 yards......that's clutch. Way to go Karrie!

Gulbis is a hell of a competitor, too. Lorena Ochoa takes about 20 minutes to pick a club on evey shot (I would KILL her).... Natalie just stood their chit-chatting with Michell Wie looking like she didn't have a care in the world.

I, myself, shot an extremely respectful 101 on Saturday! Had I carried TWO drivers like Phil is doing.......I might have had a 99. Are you Conspiracy Buffs like me? I think Phil is getting moo-goo bucks from his Endorsement Manufacturer! I can imagine the conversation:

Manufactuer: "Phil...here's the Plan. You carry two drivers all season. Say that it improves your game. Then we'll sell every golfer in America an extra driver!"

Phil: "Jeeez...even Crow isn't stupid enough to fall for that one?"

Was this one of those competitive eating things? Nabisco? Were they trying to see how many crackers they could eat in 3 minutes?

Did you say "please" and "thank you" to the caddy all day? Or maybe you bowed to the other members of your foursome on the first tee?

Or maybe I don't have enough things to worry about today. . .

How can you swing TWO drivers at one time?

Nailed by the Grammar Guy......sigh.........

Phil hits the "fade driver" on short holes......and the "draw driver" on long holes......I might need 4 drivers:

Wild Slice

Duck Hook

Pop-Up

Worm-burner

I saved some money by buying the one driver that does all four.

I saved even more money but not owning any clubs at all. When I get the urge to pick up the game I go down to the park & spend some time chucking a box of new balls into the lake 1 at a time.

You are reading into it. He said he was carrying them, not swinging them, which I assume means he was hitting one-handed drives.

He probably left that one at home; remember, there's a 14-club maximum.

Save a few for the bushes as well. You would be surprised how many get lost in there.

Now Dan, with your "colorful" vocabulary, you would be perfect for golf.
