Not to mention, that it implies that " takes a signal from somewhere other than
the pitcher’s plate " with hands joined is legal. Of course, I am taking this out of context of the whole rule; and I do not have or want an NCAA book.

Officiating takes more than OJT. It's not our jobs to invent rulings to fit our personal idea of what should and should not be.
