Injured player rule?

If a team only has 10 players and a player get injured during a game and can`t continue to play due to the injury is that players spot in the batting order considered an automatic out? Or is it just skipped due to the injury factor?

Speaking ASA, this is an automatic out for the empty spot in the batting order.
