Yellow Card for bench personnel
Our last association meeting we discussed bench personnel and their behavior. Some of us thought we should give yellow cards to the head coach when their benches ( assistant ) act up. The soccer purists hated that concept and thought cards should go directly to the assistants. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts. I personally like the idea of holding the HC accountable for his staff. Full disclosure, I am a basketball official and HC keep a tight grip on their assistants.

I think if a HC got run cause his assistants got unruly a meeting with the assistant, HC and AD would take care of that. I see you on the basketball site, the concept of indirect T's for bench behavior is never a problem.

My trouble is that my experience of those team sports that have coaches is at a level where some assistants would just as soon kick out the header, and instead of an AD there's a stand-offish administrator or president. Heck, I've been in the position of cheering on officials who threatened to kick out "our" PA announcer!
