Measurement
I was wondering if any other crews get a new ball on a measurement that is short and outside the hashmarks? The new ball is then placed at the hash by marking with the chain.
Or does your crew...

Backcourt violation
Thanks for responding. The jump stop was fine, though, and the pivot was fine. The only issue at hand is the backcourt situation.

Backcourt violation rule change? (over and back)
NFHS--Yesterday, we had a girl dribbling up the sideline in the backcourt. A couple of feet before she gets to half-court, she jump stops, then pivots so that one foot crosses the half-court line. So...

Team Box and Repainting
I've worked a few fields this year that had space for a good team box and restraining line, but they are still too close to the Field of Play. I've thought about just bringing two cans of spray paint...

Kick-Catching Interference
Where is KCI enforced? Is it from the end of the kick, the end of the run after the kick, or the previous spot?
We had this situation in a game last week and I just want to make sure we got it...

Tape halfway point of the chain?
Why do some HL's put tape halfway up the chain?
I was also wondering why some crews move the down box to the front post on measurements.
Help on either one or both would be great!

What if it travels just past the LOS but while it's still in the air, it blows back behind the LOS and is recovered by K? R never touches it. Is it K's ball or R's?

Punt Formation
I'm curious why the HL stays at the LOS on punts to note that the punt did travel past the LOS.
Why is this important?
