Kick-Catching Interference
Where is KCI enforced? Is it from the end of the kick, the end of the run after the kick, or the previous spot?
We had this situation in a game last week and I just want to make sure we got it right. Any rule citing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, HLC |

Options.
1. Take an awarded fair catch at the spot of the foul. 2. 15 yards from the previous spot or 3. Decline and take the result of the play

Just remember it is called KICK catch interference. Thus you must still have a kick. And if you have a kick the ball must be loose. And if it is loose you have previous spot enforcement, as well as an awarded spot in this case.
6-5-6 is your rules reference. |
