Orange or Red Armbands?
Hello all,

So I was just wondering if there is any difference between the orange and the red armbands? Seen both, and I'm just getting to the point in my ref career where I get to wear these. Thanks!

Never mind on this one, figured out that USA hockey requires orange armbands, Hockey Canada requires red armbands, except for Toronto minor league.

Glad you got your question answered. We're lacking in hockey officials around here but I'd love to see this section grow. Do you have any friends that use message boards or post on other hockey forums? Bring them here!

I've been toying with the idea of signing up myself and maybe one day I will, at least to work little kids games.

Quebec also wears orange armbands...

It could be a requirement, like the movie Slap Shot, where the referee(s) wear a red & white striped garment.
