Can't imagine what travel must be like for your guys in large states. The farthest I've ever driven is 3 hours one way.
But for me, that's what the playoffs are all about. Getting off work early, hittin' the road with the guys, going to a new school, seeing a couple of new teams. It's one of my most favorite things about officiating.

Though the teams travel big distances here, the officiating crews are assigned to a region, though a pool's location is rather regional. We are travelling 140 miles this weekend, which is about as long of trip for our pool.

no mileage paid in San Diego for reg season or playoffs. Big county in terms of square mles but we try to carpool allthough our crew all lives in different suburbs....
