Exactly! I rarely if ever have to worry about DOG unless they want one on purpose.

My sentiments exactly.

In a sense of fairness I am really tight on the 25 second clock in the first quarter by warning the QB early on when it is close. They seem to always get the picture. By the 4th quarter if the game is tight there is no accusation of us speeding them up because the whole game has been at the same pace. If it is a blowout in Q4 I relax a bit.

One thing that just eats at me is some of the other Rs in our association are really lax with enforcement to the point where one R waits until the QB has instructions from the coach before starting the 25 second clock. There should be consistency all the way through each and every game and even from game to game. No coach should expect my crew to call DOG any different than last week or next week's crew.
