I remember Markbreit as referee of the 1971 OSU/Michigan game where a late pass interception sealed a Michigan win. Thom Darden made the play although Ohio State screamed for intereference.

Woody Hayes went nuts on the sideline and literally tore up the down markers.

Markbreit's flag throw seemed to be has high as the last row in Michigan Stadium.

That's an impressive trophy room.

I didn't think Markbreit was any great shakes until I found out how hard this job really is and saw that his body of work is as good as anybody's since Jim Tunney.

BTW, why isn't Tunney in the Hall of Fame?
