REPLY: Great Mark...that's what I was hoping you'd say. The important thing to remember is that once the delinquent team arrives, their 3-minute warm-up clock begins.

When I first started working, we used to go to the team locker room at the twelve minute mark and give them a "3 & 3" warning - three minutes to get out and three to warm up. A long time ago the state changed it and said not to get them - it's the coach' responsibility. Since the change, I don't remember ever having to flag a team for being late.

We don't get them either. If it's a 20 minute halftime, the ECO puts 23 on the clock and we roll. We inform the visiting coach during pre-game conference. When the clock strikes zero, we roll. Never had a team not show up after the half.
