Which direction was it bouncing before it hit R? If it's Fed it doesn't matter, this is still a touchback. In NCAA it might be new force, and then responsibility for putting the ball behind R's goal line could hinge on it -- although that would be immaterial if play continues as described below.

In Fed the status of the ball is still a kick, so it's dead on reaching the plane of the goal line, and a touchback.
In NCAA by the continuation of play described above, it's a touchdown. A player is legally in possession of a ball beyond the opponent's goal line.
