Off season Refresher :)

1) A1 and B1 tie up for held ball...after whistle A1 pushes B1 and A1 is "T" up.

We shoot the 2 and B inbounds opposite table at div. line..

Any impact on the arrow since this was a held ball followed by a "T"?

2) B1 has a throw in under her own hoop and A1 bats the ball on throw that results in B1 catching the ball on the fly while still out of bounds.

Who gets the throw in?

1) Correct. No impact on the arrow.

2) Team A. Designated spot.

Arrow should change after held ball. Next throw in is result of T, it is not an AP throw in.
Who caused the ball to be OOB?

I don't believe this is a correct statement, is it?

The arrow would not change because you did not actually start or complete an AP throw-in. The foul trumps all that stuff and you are giving the ball to the offended team, not the team that had the arrow necessarily. No different than any other violation, followed by a technical foul.

Peace

Pretty sure the arrow doesn't change until the AP throw-in is completed. Since the AP throw-in never happened, due to the technical foul, the arrow isn't touched.

This is correct. A foul by either team before the completion of an AP throw-in (common, technical...doesn't matter) results in the arrow being postponed until the next occasion for its use. I suppose an exception to this might be a double foul where the POI would be the AP throw-in.

Violation by the throw-in team = different story. That results in a loss of opportunity to complete the AP throw-in. Other team gets the ball and the arrow.

Off season refresher? I actually had this happen this winter in a CYO 4th grade girls game.

I think what he meant is that the arrow would change after the throw in for a held ball. Since the ensuing throw in would be for the T, the arrow does not change.
