Shot clock violation

Here's one I am not certain of, I imagine there is a case bok play some where. A1 dribbling near the mid court line when the shot clock expires. Where is the ball put into play?

I am assuming POI.

thinking maybe you could bring it on the baseline but I still think it is Point of interruption, where the ball was when the shock clock went off.

is there a casebook play?

POI is not used for violations. You need to work on your terminology. POI has nothing to do with this.
When a shot clock violation occurs the opposing team is awarded a throw-in from the nearest out of bounds spot to the location of the ball.

We could coin a new term, LOI, meaning Location of Interruption. That would essentially be the same thing as you're saying but as a TLA.

Agreed on both points.

the only "controversy" arises when a shot is in the air. (And, I'm not trying top re-open that discussion). Is the spot of the violation where the ball was shot (which is the "ball location" as defined) or the baseline (which is when it becomes a violation)
