Didn't catch the undershirts
HS Fr game starts and a couple of players for Team A are soon discovered to be wearing gray T-shirts under maroon jerseys. (Another player has maroon T-shirt underneath.)
Granted, the grays should have been caught before tip-off, but the horse is out of the barn at this point. ![]() Team B's AC starts hollering for a T for "illegal uniforms." We're at a FTA so partner and I direct the gray T's out of the game, telling them they are not properly dressed. They take the T's off (out in the hallway -- not at the bench) and a few whistles later re-enter the game. No T served. B's AC acknowledged but not much else. Did we handle it right? What if it was noticed / Team B starts making a ruckus about it during game action? |

Thanks. If not at a dead ball and this comes to our attention, do we immediately whistle the play to get the offenders out of the game?
(Not that I'm saying this is ever going to happen at one of my games again ... ![]() |

No, it's not a safety issue so you wait until the next stoppage in play to deal with it.
