Undershirts

I am looking for a rules reference as I can't seem to locate. Where is it stated that the away team cannot wear white undershirts if that is one of their team colors? Everything I read states the torso must be a contrasting dark color. But I do not see any reference stating the undershirt has to be of a similar "dark" color.

Thanks

Rule 3-5-6

Undershirts shall be a single solid color similar to the torso of the jersey and shall be hemmed and not have frayed or ragged edges. If the undershirt has sleeves, they shall be the same length. A visible manufacturer's logo/trademark/reference is not permitted on the undershirt.

Peace

Similar to Torso so if torso is contrasting then it must be contrasting. Got it. I read that several times and kept thinking white was similar.

Thanks.

I think the rule is written so we do not split hairs on what is allowed. You might have different shades of a color undershirt or you do not have an exact match and we should just allow them to play as long as they are attempting to match the jersey color. Hare to mess up the color white, but other colors could have different hues of the same basic color.

Peace

Who would permit the following:
A. Blue jerseys with black undershirts.
B. Green jerseys with black undershirts.

Does light green/blue vs dark green/blue make a difference to you?
In other words, do you consider black to be "similar" to green or blue?

It's especially permitted if they are planning on doing a rendition of the Harlem Shake.

It would depend of the shade of green or blue.

As I explain it: In Kindergarten, I only had the box of 8 Crayola (tm) crayons, not the fancy box of 64 with the sharpener on the side.

So, I see "blue" not "sky blue" "light blue" "blue greeen" "aqua" "turquoise" "navy blue" etc.

It would make a difference but sometimes the gyms are so dark I can't tell. It just happened to me last Friday. Road team's jerseys were dark green and a player had a black t-shirt but at a distance with the lighting it looked like a darker shade of green.
