I wouldn't crucify anybody who called a foul on play #3. It would be a great post-game discussion point and learning tool about advantage/disadvantage and verticality, that's all.

#4, 2 players interlock equally, I don't see how one or other is more cupable.

1. I am indifferent for a foul here. I do believe that B had position with his right foot. But the lean and shoulder was likely outside his cylinder against an airborne defender. I'm ok with a no-call here, but I'd lean slightly to a block.

2. Is the potential foul at the double screen up top? From what I can tell, I have nothing. But again, I'm ok with a foul call.

3. Looks like the foul is for white climbing black's back. I don't have a foul on this play. I've got a great effort though.

4. White foul. He initiated the arm lock. Tough for the L to see though. If one waited to see where the ball went, that's a great method for this level of play. At other levels, I say grab the white foul.

#4 for me is a GM situation. On that 50-50 type of play at that point in the game with their athletic ability I’m not sure if I have a whistle but if I do, it’s going against the team that’s up 25.

....
I'm always going to put a whistle on this. To me it sets a dangerous precedent to let defenders lean into airborne players, especially with above-the-rim play.

3. No foul

4. No foul, ball goes away from these players. It might be a GM foul where these players have been an issue or the game is chippy. But normally that is not a foul from me.

Peace
Agreed.

I've got a foul on the first one. The second one is a toss up.

The other 2 we are playing on.

Question- in FIBA they want rebounding falls to come from the outside. What are the NCAA and FED philosophies?
