He is even dumber, the correct term is "center of mass" not "center of gravity."

I'm not sure that makes him dumber, Mark. I'm not particularly dumb, but I've never heard the phrase "center of mass" before your post. I think that unless you are trained as an engineer, "center of mass" doesn't mean a hill of beans.

Somehow I always thought that in a uniform field center of mass = center of gravity. Apparently these people agree:

Edit: Maybe they differ when doing dynamic analysis?

Dan, I suppose Mark might be assuming that the human body (especially the one of the person Padgett refers to) IS NOT a "uniform" field of mass.

Yup - only problem is, good luck finding a uniform gravitational field.
