Once the try is over, of course.

So it would be the same as if there's a foul underneath while a three point shot is in the air, right?

I guess I just threw myself off with the whole shooter thing...

Is a player who has released the ball on a try and returned to the floor still a shooter?

We can overthink things.

You wouldn't believe how many officials in St. Louis would answer 'Yes' to that question.
