Lane Violation
The ball is given to the free throw shooter, another player who was lined up in position 2 (same team as shooter) walks over to shooter says something and walked towards center court. Is this a lane violation? I cant find it in the rule book.
NBA.com - RULE NO. 10-VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES Rule C Thats is the closest I could find |

Free throw restrictions are different in the NBA compared to NCAA and NFHS.
In the NBA, it wouldn't be a violation unless the thrower releases the ball and the player was inside the 3 point line. If he's able to get back, no violation. If it was a defender, then disconcertion could also be called.

Same one. Same basic rules -- CIF adds some for shot clocks etc..
