Give Us The Wretched Refuse Of Your Teeming Shore ...
Yes he could. Here in the Provisions State, we're an equal opportunity employer. All genders, races, ethnic groups, nationalities, religions, and sexual identity groups, can officiate. You can wear beltless slacks, or you can wear belted slacks, as long as the belt is black. You can wear flat pants, or pleated pants, as long as they're black. You can be bald, balding, or have a full head of hair. You can wear plain leather shoes, or patent leather shoes, as long as they're all black. You can be tall, short, or anywhere in between. You can use a Smitty lanyard, a noose lanyard, or no lanyard, as long as you use a Fox 40 whistle, or something that sounds similar. Yes, we do have a very liberal uniform policy here, but hey, Connecticut is often described as the bluest state in the Union.
Just one thing. It's kind of important. You have to be able to officiate basketball. If not, we will discriminate against you. And don't even think about showing up for a high school game with a college jacket.

Don't Leave Us Hangnig ...
C'mon Mark T. DeNucci, Sr. You must have an old photo somewhere, maybe up in your attic, of you wearing a gray IAABO jersey, with a blue Byron collar, blue piping on the sleeves, and a blue stretch band on the bottom of the jersey. You can share it with us. We promise not to laugh. Well, at least I promise not to laugh. Also, IAABO is ninety years old. So what was it like to officiate back when IAABO was in it's infancy?
