I like your thought process, I just think you are trying to turn this into a math problem.
The key with timing is "definite knowledge." If you have it, then you are welcome to put time on (or take off) the clock. At the college level, this information is applied on a last-second shot. If you have 0.3 or less, you know the shot is not good if caught and shot versus tapped. |
