Intentional Foul

Girl's varsity game played under NCAA rules. A player on team a commits an intentional foul on a player for team b. We award the player on team b two shots. Does team b then inbound the ball at half court, opposite the tabel or at the point of interruption?

Spot closest to where the foul occurred.

Ball will be inbounded at spot nearest where the foul took place.

Everyone is right -- spot nearest the foul. However, under NCAA rules, there is no longer any such thing as an intentional foul. The new name as of last year is flagrant 1.

If you have access to an NCAA book, look up the penalty for flagrant 1. If you don't, you'll have to trust a bunch of strangers on the internet.
