Timeout Procedure
It is my first full year being an IAABO member, and was just wondering how important it was to stick to the procedure regarding where to stand during timeouts and change of quarter. It is sometimes beneficial to meet with a more experience ref to receive feedback/talk about what is going on.

I understand. Every game I seem to be meeting less and less as I get more confident. In baseball, it was emphasized DO NOT MEET if there has recently been a controversial call. Does the same theory exist in basketball as well?

I'm in IAABO. I understand feeling the need to communicate, as I can be chatty, but know what's really needed (red ball, 20 white's getting more aggressive, etc.) and what can wait.
