DQ vs. Ejection
There is continual confusion in our association regarding disqualification versus ejection related to flagrant personal, flagrant technicals, and/or 2 technicals.
Here in NC we have a state list that covers actions that result in an ejection. Yet still we have had situations where players/coaches are DQ'd instead of ejected and vice versa. How is it in your areas? Or is it just us North Carolinians?? |

I've Heard About Priests Being Ejected ...
Quote:
10-4 Penalty: Ejected adult bench personnel shall leave the vicinity (out of sight and sound) of the playing area immediately and are prohibited from any further contact (direct or indirect) with the team during the remainder of the game. Failure to comply with the rules of ejection may result in the game being forfeited.

No such problem here. It sounds like there is a semantics discussion going on in your area that you might need to elaborate on why this would be an issue in the first place?
Peace

Most likely b/c an ejection would invoke a suspension while a DQ requires no further action.

(I know, and I assume you know, but it is the type of question that came up when the policy was put into place here.) When in doubt, file the paperwork and let the state handle it. |

BTW, that happened to me last year and I did not file a report (for that situation). Peace
