Of course. He was saying the ball "passed through the basket" when clearly it only passed through the rim.

Yes I saw that, just wanted to clarify for others.

Although the ball passing through the ring alone doesnt constitute the entire basket, the ring is still part of the basket as is the flanges, braces & net.
