What I have learned is it is more fun to start something than it is to finish it. By that I mean, learning what you need to do is fun, proving to people you can do it is fun, but once you get to the top of the mountain, there's no where else to go and you're looking around and saying," I thought there would be more".
I remember thinking the same thing about the first, and only, time that the middle school basketball team that I coached won a big post season tournament. We played in this tournament for years, and years, often finishing second. I thought that it would so great to actually win it. It felt great for a few hours, and then, while driving on the way home after the post game party hosted by one of the parents, I thought the same thing that Terrapins Fan thought.
