Rule 1 Section 4 tells us about the distance of the 3-point line but there is no case book ruling pertaining to the lack of a line. The venue is refusing to put a taped line down for the high school tournament. A girl's tournament held this week had the same issue and used the women's college line.

Has anyone run into a similar situation? If so, what was done to resolve it?

Whoever runs the tournament needs to find a venue that has this kind of thing available before trying to get them to conform THEIR court to what they need.

The goal posts are not as wide, nor are the hash marks.

Play it as marked.
You're probably right, but our team that I coach with played in the state championship game this year at an NFL stadium. They paint the high school hash marks on the field, paint hash marks where the high school numbers are (Closer to the sideline), and they even brought in high school goalposts. I played in the state championship in high school several years back and they didn't bring in the goalposts back then. They looked like Arena league goalposts compared to what we were used to.

I had this last weekend on a college court. Neither coach said anything. And of course the game was won with a last second 3-pointer. The kid hit 6 three's, all at least a good 6-12" behind the college arc.

A foot isn't really that big of a difference. Personally, I can't believe they didn't move the college line back even more.

I suppose you could give them 3 if the shooter's foot was on the line.

That is actually one of the ideas being suggested. I can see that causing problems for players and officials.

Not unusual for state championship games. But for other games, that usually doesn't happen.
