Ask for a video tape

Has anyone ever had success asking a home (or away?) school for a copy of a game tape? I worked a BV tonight with a ton of fouls, two T's (away coach and player), very involved fans, and some athletic players. We all felt we called a pretty good game, kept ourselves pretty consistent, but it's just one of those games I wish I could have seen myself work.

If you HAVE had success getting a tape, how did you go about asking for it?

For what it's worth, home team won by 20, I don't know the coach personally, and I doubt he knows me.

Bring a blank dvd, a self-addressed pacakge for it with postage already applied, and ask the AD or whomever is attending to you at the game if it'd be possible to get a copy of the game film burned and sent to you. So useful to ask this ahead of time (before the game).

I usually email coach and ask if they could burn a dvd of game, our crew likes to use it as a learning tool. I never mention a contraversial play or discuss calls. I always offer to pay for any cost associated with producing or shipping of DVD. I've never been turned down yet, and have never been asked to pay for anything. I tend to ask winning team I might add!

Funny, was at a tourney tonight and saw coach I had a few weeks ago and asked for dvd....."no problem, shoot me an email"
