let me guess...did it also have the words "calling official" and "opposite"? I think that got me too...

Is that the NCAAM or the NCAAW test?

I submitted mine yesterday. I got a 94. On 2 that I missed, semantics tripped me up. On the third one, I read too much into the question. Oh, woe is me. Not!!

In Michigan, no testing required, I believe we are one of two states that do not require one.

Closed book here, 50 rules questions, plus mechanics questions. We get a practice exam that we work on together, before the exam on 11/27. My experience has been that the practice exam is always tougher than the real deal. Makes for good preparation, if you ask me.

This is the new protocol here in the land across the lake from Rut:

"Beginning in 2011-12, for an official to be eligible to work a
Quarterfinal, Semifinal or Final contest, that official must take and
pass the 30-question MHSAA Rules Test for those sports in which the
exam is offered with a minimum score of 80 percent."

It just came out today and must be submitted online by December 8.

There is no rule 5-12 anymore. It has been incorporated into rule 5-11-7. Successive time outs are still defined in rule 4-43-2.

While I seem to get around the same score every year, I don't seem to "read anything into it" anymore. I've gotten better and they have certainly become less frustrating. I seem to either mis-read the question, the question is just poorly written (IMO) or I make a stupid error.

I looked at my exam from last yr - duh!
