Catcher Chatter
OBR tournament. In the game last night, the catcher continually chattered to his pitcher - even during the windup and pitch. Is this allowed? I thought it was a no no, and another umpire agreed, but the UIC let it go and I can't find anything in the rules that would apply.
What do you think? |

I don't know of any rule the prohibits it. I once ejected an F2 for what he was saying to batters. I suppose if it gets to the point of being distracting you could ask him to stop.
