This is kind of easy to settle. What does the NFHS call it in their mechanics manual? What does the NCAA call it? For those that don't use any particular manual, what does your local association call it? IAABO calls it "Crew Of Three".

The CCA says "Crew of Three" as well. My state calls it "Three Person."

My point is if someone says "3 Man" I do not think we need get excited about it. After all most 3 Person crews have 3 men working it. Very few women at least at the HS level. College that might be a different story.
