He must of watched a lot of Billy Packer

Spring league MS game - 6th grade boys. Coach starts yelling at my partner about a "no call". There's a stoppage and my partner goes over and asks what the problem was. Apparently, the coach wanted him to call a foul because of an opponent setting a pick in the back court. According to the coach, it's illegal to set picks in the back court. My partner missed an opportunity to say something funny and just told him there was no such rule.

Sounds like he acted professionally...good for him.

Where do Coaches come up with these mythical rules? Where do leagues even think of implementing such rules?

Younger age groups often have special ground rules in certain leagues. Maybe it was a rule in some league he coached in before.
