From 64 to 68; 96 to increase?

Since there are the "First Four" games in the NCAA Tournament expansion to 68 teams, will there be an increase in officials? There are 96 officials that work the NCAA tournament, I am wondering if there will be an increase now with slightly more games (3)?


Could play a game also and have everyone pick their NCAA Referees for the Tournament (but don't want the thread to get that long)

Any additional officials will be from Southern California.

Just do the math. That's an increase in games of 4.6%. Therefore, there should be a corresponding increase of 4.6% X 96 officials = 4.4 officials. The NCAA will thus be using 100.4 officials this year in the tournament.
