Exclamation 72 points and no free throws!

Had a 6th grade "competitive league" boys game tonight and the visitors won 72-22. Here's the weird part - they scored 72 points and they didn't shoot any free throws! If that's a commentary on anything, it just shows how loose the other team played defense. In fact, the home team committed a total of five fouls for the entire game.

Anyone else have anything like this ever happen? Oh yeah, the game was over in just a few minutes over an hour.

I've had no bonus for either team, either half, as I'm sure many have. But, can't recall a game ever going the distance without at least several foul shots. Certainly seems very rare to me.

Two seasons ago, I had a Boys-V team that was overmatched size-wize. They shot from the outside, mostly 3-pt attempts. The other team chose to play a zone and guard from the paint and concede the long shots. In the end, the bigger team won by 10 or 11. Not very physical game...maybe 9-10 fouls total for both teams.

Game ends, we retire to the dressing room, commenting that it was a pretty easy game from an officiating persepctive. Both coaches pretty subdued. As we are leaving, we pass the scorer's table. The scorer says "Do you guys know that Team X (smaller team) didn't attempt a single foul shot?". We had no idea. Kinda stunnning, but made sense after we thought about it. Haven't seen it since.

The fewest fouls I've had in a game was three. I'm certain there were free throws, though.
